Chastity in the old world sense is the literal locking down of a female’s urge to interact sexually with someone. This is definitely an extreme method, but to some degree should at least be considered conceptually. It’s not to say that anyone should be required to be celibate or to wait for that “one” person, because that is an individual’s choice. It may be a good practice, however, to employ some boundaries or set some standards for yourself.

This is just a practical way of avoiding the potential of having children that may be unwanted or getting an STD. It can also be looked at as an honest way of letting someone know your boundaries, standards, and expectations for yourself. Unfortunately, it can’t guarantee the avoidance of someone who becomes obsessed with the idea of you.
